So... once again, shit happens. Life is great for that.

I just moved home from college today. I have to say, being home is bitter sweet. On the way home from school my parents told me that my Dad lost his job a week ago. They didn't tell me sooner because I had finals. Back in January, my mom took a big pay cut and lost her benefits, so we switched our insurance over to my Dad's work. We still have insurance but we're paying through the nose for it.

In the bank right now we have enough money for my next semester at college, but with my dad losing his job, I'm pretty sure my parent's are going to have to dip into that to make ends meet. So as of right now the plan is that I go back to ISU in the fall, but we'll see. After the fall, though, I'm not sure what I am going to do.

My dad's trying to find a new job, but with this economy no one is hiring. My brother is also in danger of losing his job. He has 4 more weeks of trade school before he returns to his apprenticeship job, and they don't have work for him right now.

My summer plans include a summer school class and a job or two to pay for it (plus save up, if I can) and what ever theatre work I can get, but that's all subject to change.

I'm not religious but I pray to God that Chicago gets the Olympics. My God we need it. I need it. My family needs it.
